Oh, did you suspect to finally see some photos with massive amounts of snow? Nope, not yet - we had another beautiful sunday with sun and a warm breeze!
We took advantage of this wonderful day to do a biketour across the city to the other side of town and to a little island called Malmøya. This island is compsed of rock from the Silurian period, app. 443 million years ago, and encloses fossils from the Silurian like trilobites, corals, and cephalopods. We surrounded the island along the coast in search for the fossils and enjoyed the sun and the smell of the sea.
Along our way through the city, we also stoped by the Operahuset, the Oslo Opera House, which can be walked on similar as to the Sydney Opera. We also passed by the Julemarked, wich is not like the name may suggest a marketplace for the trade of Jules, but a christmas market. It is quite similar to German christmas markets with the one distinction that you have the possibility to buy elk burgers.
